Hi!
Here’s a summary of what we’ve been up to in case you’ve missed it!
New podcast episodes
Episode 49:
We invited Emily, a childfree American who lives in the Netherlands with her husband, to join us on this episode and discuss a few of the mean tweets that we have received in the past few days. People on the Twittersphere are the meanest of them all, would you agree?
Episode 50:
It's our second anniversary and we decided to celebrate it by reacting to the first episode we aired after we introduced ourselves to the world. You know what they say: "to remember is to live again!"
Episode 51:
Have you ever had to live through your (mostly well-meaning) friends telling you that you should have a baby, or even questioning your choice to embrace the childfree lifestyle by implying that you need to be fixed because "that's not normal"? Well, this happened to one of our listeners who told us her story in an email, and we decided to share our opinions about it on this episode.
Our buzziest meme of the month
Interview with Bored Panda
“There isn’t one specific way to deal with societal pressure, and some people have a better grasp on this than others. In general terms, we believe that when childfree people are totally accepting of their own choice and have a healthy amount of self-love and self-confidence, it comes naturally to not be too adversely affected by the criticism (blatant or subtle) that might come from family, friends, co-workers, news articles, TV shows, movies, magazines, etc.” - Childfree Girls
Bored Panda reached out to us to get our thoughts on living childfree.
This article pulls from 30 people’s social media posts in addition to our interview. It’s a thought-provoking and entertaining read!
